Airborne! Obama, Review and Herald, and Bean Town

We finally got all the plants off in Kentucky on time, we were two days ahead of schedule, but for a particularly lazy and rude woman in Chicago. When I called she said she would work with us in getting her shipment off, we show up and she refused to unload the truck. We had to wait until the Mexicans showed up, who enthusiastically unloaded us, 36 hrs later.
Got a short haul from Kentucky going to Black Mountain NC, it destroyed our fuel mileage going south on good ol US 23. Passed on through my wife’s sibling’s stomping grounds in the toenail of southern Virginia. Thankfully we got shut of that short load and dead headed empty to Fayettenam (Ft Bragg!!!!!). It was pure joy for me to drive through Ft Bragg again, at the same time I was deeply saddened with guilt, because that is where I should be right now with those Airborne soldiers playing in the big sand box.
We picked up a loaded trailer there bound for Haggerstwon MD, Washington DC, and Boston. Driving through Richmond was nostalgic for me. How I would relish the opportunity to watch Ol Stone Wall do his thing! Hats off to him, even if he fought for the wrong side. Then a spin through the Beltway, I urgently shook my fist towards that funny white building in the middle, on our way to the Haggerstown. Wish I had time to visit the Review. Back to DC, shaking fist towards that funny white building again. Again, wish I had time to drop in on the folks in Silver Spring. On to Bean Town, Boston MA (We are absolutely going around NYC).  Where we will finish this load out and hope for a monster long haul bound for California, Portland, SF, or Seattle.
